This is about a great friend whom I deeply adore and admire. Throughout the years of knowing her, I have had the privilege of discovering the many little things that make her who she is. I wanted to create something that would allow others to get to know the Ruby that I know—not only through the things she loves, but through the way she loves, protects, grows, perseveres, and shows up for the people around her. The more I learned about what a ruby represents love, passion, protection, power, strength, and something rare and precious the more I found myself thinking of her. So, page by page, I hope you'll get to know her a little better. And by the end, perhaps you'll know why she's Ruby, too.
